One of the biggest misconceptions people have is that two powerful Black women cannot coexist. That somehow strength in one threatens the strength of the other. But that has never been our story. For us, it has always been about collaboration, never competition. We have built our partnership—and our friendship—on the belief that there is enough space, opportunity, and grace for us all to win. We do not gatekeep, we give. We do not compare, we connect. That is who we are and how we move through the world.

I think where a lot of people get it wrong in business is their egos lead their movements. So many times, people are shocked when we are on set and our roles reverse or there is a pivot in what we are doing. Reality is we are very clear in who the other is in the world. Skill set, accolades, achievements, positions, all the things that make Onyx Keesha Onyx Keesha and make me me. So, when the time arises for the other to be in the forefront, it’s not rocket science that the other falls into place. That’s not dimming our lights by far, it’s the respect of a colleague in that professional instance.
